EVIL UNMASKED. CHRIST IS OUR ONLY HOPE

The Epstein files didn’t create evil—they pulled the curtain back. What spilled into the light is vile, predatory, calculated wickedness: the buying and selling of human bodies, the abuse of the vulnerable, the protection of the powerful, and a ruling class that closes ranks while victims are silenced. This is not merely scandal. It is rot. And it reaches high.

Scripture gives us categories for this. Evil is not just “bad behavior.” Evil is rebellion against God—life lived in defiance of His nature and His ways. When humans turn from the good God, they don’t become neutral; they become destructive. Satan was the first rebel. Humanity followed. And history shows what always comes next: exploitation, violence, and pride dressed up as power.

Genesis tracks the acceleration. Murder. Corruption. A world so violent God judged it with a flood. Then Babel—elites uniting to make a name for themselves, consolidating power, defying God. Sound familiar? God scattered them to restrain evil. He always restrains it—until He judges it.

The Epstein files expose the same ancient pattern. Men who think themselves untouchable. Systems that protect abusers. Institutions that value image over truth. This is what happens when people “do not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God” (Romans 1). God gives them over—not because He approves, but because rebellion always runs its course.

Christians should not be shocked—but we should be sober. This is not a partisan problem. It’s a sin problem. When power is severed from accountability to God, it curdles. Always. Empires rise, rot, and fall. There is nothing new under the sun.

And yet—this is not a call to despair or rage. It’s a call to right warfare.

“Though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.”

Our enemy is not merely corrupt men but the lies, ideologies, and spiritual blindness that prop them up. The fortresses are in the mind—stories that excuse sin, normalize perversion, and mock righteousness. Human weapons can’t tear those down.

Only Christ can.  Only King Jesus!

Jesus entered a world just as corrupt—Rome was brutal, religious leaders were compromised, and abuse of power was everywhere. He did not seize a throne. He carried a cross. And at that cross He disarmed the powers and authorities, exposing them to open shame. The resurrection declared the verdict: evil is real, but it is defeated.

Why does it persist? Because God is patient. Mercy still stands. Repentance is still possible.

But judgment is coming—and it will be total.

So what do we do now?

We wake up.

We stop being entertained by those who despise righteousness.

We repent where we’ve grown numb.

We raise our sons and daughters in truth.

We speak the gospel without fear.

We hate evil—and cling to good.

Above all, we fix our eyes on Jesus. Not on files, not on headlines, not on corrupt elites—but on the faithful King.

Darkness has been exposed. Light has not been overcome.

Christ reigns—and He is our hope.

Amen!
