FELLOWSHIP HOMESCHOOL ENRICHMENT

Who we are

Fellowship Homeschool Enrichment is a ministry of Fellowship Church.  We exist to offer enhanced learning opportunities that foster critical thinking, creativity, and personal growth.  Our goal is to support the holistic development of students, preparing them for future success while nurturing their faith and commitment to serving others.  Our program is dedicated to raising Christian leaders who are equipped to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond!

SUMMARY OF VALUE

Frequently Asked questions

Our Enrichment Program is a one-day-a-week, faith-based experience designed for homeschool families.  It provides children ages 5-13 with a chance to explore their interests through hands-on learning, creative projects, and community-building activities in a loving, Christ-centered environment.
The program is open to homeschool students ages 5-13. Families from all backgrounds are welcome, though our curriculum and community time are rooted in Christian values.

We currently don’t offer classes for Pre-K or High School; however, if this changes, we will let our families know and update this page.
Fellowship Church Homeschool Enrichment (FCHE) will take place at the Fellowship Church, Raymore campus (116 S Washington St. Raymore MO 64034).  Meeting each Tuesday from 9:00-3:30pm from August through May.
At Fellowship Enrichment, we provide a dynamic hybrid of unit studies and interest-led exploratory classes. Our program is built on a Project-Based Learning model, where students learn by doing and creating.

Expertly Tailored Unit Studies
We do not believe in “one-size-fits-all” education. While we select high-quality studies from various respected authors, our Director personally adapts and enhances the materials to fit our specific community.
  • Director’s Note: With a Master’s in Counseling and a background in education—specifically writing curriculum for twice-exceptional (gifted and special needs) learners—I personally review and edit our units. This allows us to modify activities based on the unique needs and interests of our current students, ensuring that every child is both supported and challenged.

Our studies are deeply rooted in Christian values and are divided into five major units over our 32 days of instruction. To keep our community involved, our parents and teachers vote on the topics each year.

Interest-Led Exploratory Classes
In the afternoons, students move beyond general subjects to participate in eight unique exploratory rotations (four per semester). These classes focus on hands-on projects that allow students to dive deep into specific subjects rather than following a standard year-long rotation.

A Responsive & Dynamic Community
Because we are a growing program, we remain highly flexible. We use family feedback from the BAND app and direct observations of student engagement to adjust our offerings. If a particular topic sparks a high level of interest, we have the professional expertise to lean in and expand that study to meet our students’ needs.
Our team is comprised of dedicated Christian educators who share a deep, personal connection to your family’s journey. From our Director to every member of our teaching staff, we are all current or former homeschool parents. This shared experience allows us to truly relate to the culture, values, and unique needs of the homeschooling community.

Our Approach to Support
We see ourselves as partners in your child’s growth. To maintain a focus on encouragement and exploration:

Safety and Excellence
Every team member is carefully selected to ensure your child’s well-being. This includes:
Upon enrollment, parents gain access to a comprehensive student planner that outlines each week’s activities and subjects in detail.  This planner also includes links to key resources used during Enrichment Day, offering a clear view into your child’s educational experience.

Our goal is to foster transparent communication about what takes place in your child’s group each week.  While we provide the tools to support your homeschool journey, parents are responsible for selecting the appropriate class group for their child and maintaining their homeschool records in accordance with state requirements.

We encourage every parent to check out the Missouri homeschool laws. https://hslda.org/legal/missouri
While Fellowship Enrichment is a drop-off program, we are far from a “hands-off” community. We deeply value the partnership between our families and our staff, and we believe our program is at its best when parents are engaged and connected.

Ways to Serve & Support There are many flexible ways for parents to get involved, whether you enjoy being in the middle of the action or helping behind the scenes:

Open Communication & Feedback We want our families to have a voice in our growing community. You can stay connected through:

At Fellowship Enrichment, you aren’t just dropping off your child; you are joining a supportive community of like-minded families who are all walking the same homeschooling path.
Our program goes far beyond the classroom to provide a vibrant experience for the whole family. Because we are a growing community, our events evolve each year based on student interests and family feedback.

Unique Family Events (2–3 per Semester)
We host special themed days that turn learning into a celebration. Past favorites include:

Real-World Guest Speakers
We love to bring “living history” and professional insights into the classroom. We invite community members and families with unique experiences to share their knowledge with our students.

The “Student Extravaganza”
On the last day of each semester, we host a celebratory program called the Student Extravaganza.  This event is always open to the public, and we encourage extended family members to attend. The theme changes to match our curriculum, allowing students to showcase what they’ve learned:

Spiritual Growth & Connection

Traditions & Essentials
We make sure to include those classic school milestones, such as Meet Your Teacher Night, School Photos, and festive Christmas and Valentine’s Day parties.
To ensure your child is prepared and comfortable, please have them bring the following each day:
  • A backpack for personal items and take-home materials
  • A sack lunch and separate snack
  • A labeled water bottle to stay hydrated
  • Closed-toe shoes for safety during active play
  • Sunscreen when appropriate for outdoor activities
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on learning and outdoor play
The safety of our students is our highest priority. We believe in being both spiritually and practically prepared to protect our community. Our security measures include:
