FELLOWSHIP HOMESCHOOL ENRICHMENT

Who we are

Fellowship Homeschool Enrichment is a ministry of Fellowship Church.  We exist to offer enhanced learning opportunities that foster critical thinking, creativity, and personal growth.  Our goal is to support the holistic development of students, preparing them for future success while nurturing their faith and commitment to serving others.  Our program is dedicated to raising Christian leaders who are equipped to make a positive impact in their communities and beyond!

Frequently Asked questions

Our Enrichment Program is a one-day-a-week, faith-based experience designed for homeschool families.  It provides children ages 5-12 with a chance to explore their interests through hands-on learning, creative projects, and community-building activities in a loving, Christ-centered environment.
The program is open to homeschool students ages 5-12.  Families from all backgrounds are welcome, though our curriculum and community time are rooted in Christian values.

We currently don’t offer classes for Pre-K or High School; however, if this changes, we will let our families know and update this page.
Fellowship Church Homeschool Enrichment (FCHE) will take place at the Fellowship Church, Raymore campus (116 S Washington St. Raymore MO 64034).  Meeting each Tuesday from 9:00-3:30pm from August through May.
Our Enrichment Program is a hybrid of unit & book studies, combined with hands-on and creative learning opportunities in core subjects, as well as exploratory classes.  Throughout the year, students will have the opportunity to complete four unit/book studies in their homeroom and participate in eight structured exploratory classes.

Our exploratory classes are designed to encourage students to explore their diverse interests! Rather than spending the entire year in general Music, Art, and P.E., students will experience six to seven weeks in eight different classes. These may include STEAM, Robotics, Entrepreneurship, Spanish, Upcycled Art, Storybook Theater, Choir, Home Economics, and more. Many classes will conclude with a special project or event, showcasing students’ learning and creativity. The exploratory classes offered may vary each year based on parent feedback and the passions and teaching capabilities of our instructors.

Parents who are involved in our community are encouraged to voice their interests in unit studies and exploratory class offerings, ensuring the program remains dynamic and responsive to the needs and interests of our families.
Our core curriculum is based on selected units from the Gather ‘Round Homeschool series, which offers engaging, faith-based, unit-style learning.  However, we may also incorporate other Christian unit-based curricula that align with our mission and the needs of our students.

In addition to unit studies, we also include book studies as part of our enrichment experience.  These allow students to dive deeper into literature, develop critical thinking skills, and engage in meaningful discussions in a faith-based context.

Our program is intentionally flexible and creative.  As the Enrichment Program Director, I partner with our teachers to shape the vision for exploratory classes – drawing on their passions and expertise to create a dynamic, hands-on learning environment that inspires curiosity and growth.
Yes, we offer an Academic Program for grades Pre-K through 8th at our Greenwood campus.  This program meets on Mondays and Wednesdays, following the same calendar duration.  You can find out more at fcfamily.org/FCHA
Our dedicated Christian educators bring a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for inspiring young minds.  Each teacher is carefully selected, undergoes comprehensive background checks, and receives specialized training to ensure a safe and enriching environment for every child.

While our program does not include traditional homework or assignments, our teachers actively encourage hands-on learning experiences during program hours, fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for discovery.
Upon enrollment, parents gain access to a comprehensive student planner that outlines each week’s activities and subjects in detail.  This planner also includes links to key resources used during Enrichment Day, offering a clear view into your child’s educational experience.

Our goal is to foster transparent communication about what takes place in your child’s group each week.  While we provide the tools to support your homeschool journey, parents are responsible for selecting the appropriate class group for their child and maintaining their homeschool records in accordance with state requirements.

We encourage every parent to check out the Missouri homeschool laws.  www.hslda.org/statelaws/MO
Although we are a drop-off program, we deeply value the partnership between families and our enrichment program.  There are many meaningful ways for parents to stay connected and contribute such as: hosting or helping with parties, facilitating lunch or recess, supporting special events, participating in curriculum chats and more!

If you’re interested in getting more involved, we invite you to join our Family Enrichment Partners group.  This group supports our homeschool families and teachers by sharing resources and enriching our program through connection, collaboration, and care.
In addition to our core enrichment activities, we offer special events throughout the year to enhance learning and build community. These include:
  • Field Trips to local educational and cultural sites
  • Guest Speakers who bring real-world insights into the classroom
  • Themed Days that make learning fun and engaging
  • Service Projects that encourage students to give back and grow in character
  • Class Parties & Celebrations to mark milestones, celebrate holidays and build friendships
We supply all materials needed for in-class activities, including art supplies, science tools, and printed resources.  Any additional materials or resources used during Enrichment Days will be shared with parents through the student planner.
To ensure your child is prepared and comfortable, please have them bring the following each day:
  • A backpack for personal items and take-home materials
  • A labeled water bottle to stay hydrated
  • Closed-toe shoes for safety during active play
  • Sunscreen when appropriate for outdoor activities
  • Comfortable clothing suitable for hands-on learning and outdoor play
